Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms

By engaging Ceiling Replacement Perth for ceiling replacement services, you agree to these Terms of Service. These terms apply to all quotes, work orders, and services provided by Ceiling Replacement Perth in Perth, WA, Australia.

2. Quotes and pricing

All quotes are provided in writing and are fixed-price for the specified scope of works. Quotes are valid for 30 days from the date of issue. A quote does not constitute a contract until it is accepted in writing by both parties.

If additional scope is identified during the work (e.g., strapping in worse condition than assessed at inspection, discovery of asbestos not identified at quote stage), we will advise you in writing before proceeding with any additional work. Additional scope is priced separately and requires your written approval before it proceeds.

3. Payment terms

Payment is due on completion of works unless otherwise agreed in writing. For large jobs (whole-house or multi-property), a deposit of up to 30% may be required before work commences. Payment terms are specified in the written quote.

Late payments may incur interest at 10% per annum, calculated daily, from the due date.

4. Cancellation and rescheduling

Cancellations with less than 48 hours notice may incur a call-out fee to cover lost scheduling. Rescheduling with reasonable notice (48+ hours) is accommodated without penalty. Where materials have been ordered specifically for your job, material costs may be non-refundable on cancellation.

5. Workmanship warranty

We warrant our workmanship for the period specified in the written quote (typically 12 months). This warranty covers defects in workmanship, including joint failures, screw pops, and set defects, that arise under normal conditions. It does not cover damage caused by:

• Water ingress from an unrepaired leak source
• Structural movement beyond normal seasonal variation
• Physical impact or abuse
• Work performed by other parties after our completion

Materials are covered by the manufacturer’s warranty (Gyprock Australia). We will assist you in pursuing a valid manufacturer warranty claim.

6. Asbestos removal

All asbestos removal work is carried out by licensed contractors in accordance with the Work Health and Safety Act 2020 (WA) and the Code of Practice for the Safe Removal of Asbestos. We do not carry out asbestos removal without a prior accredited assessment confirming the presence and extent of asbestos-containing material.

The client is responsible for disclosing any known asbestos presence at the property. Discovery of asbestos during works not identified at the quote stage will pause works until a reassessment is completed.

7. Client responsibilities

The client agrees to: provide safe access to the work area, remove or allow removal of furniture and fittings as required, ensure the roof or leak source is repaired prior to ceiling replacement commencing, and advise of any known asbestos presence or hazardous materials at the property.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Australian Consumer Law, our liability is limited to the cost of the services provided. We are not liable for consequential or indirect loss arising from our services. Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded.

9. Dispute resolution

We will acknowledge your complaint within 2 business days and aim to resolve it within 10 business days. If resolution cannot be reached, disputes may be referred to the Western Australian Building Commission or the Small Business Development Corporation’s dispute resolution service.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Western Australia and the Commonwealth of Australia. Both parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Western Australia.
